We will obtain consent for publishing online, adding to collections hosted on VADS and making recordings and images available for reuse under CC BY-NC 4.0. The consent form is based on the NLHF template.
Personal data in the project’s content will be kept permanently as part of our project website and VADS collection.
Images and recordings that include personal data will be kept permanently by UCA.
Data related to individuals’ involvement in the project, such as contracts, contact details will be stored in accordance with UCA’s privacy notice.
Data related to those involved with the project will be shared, as far as required, with the National Lottery Heritage Fund, our funding partner. Any personal data on the project website or on the VADS site will be given a Creative Commons licence for reuse (CC BY-NC 4.0). Personal data in content uploaded to social media will be subject to the terms and conditions of those platforms.
The project uses the following data processors for the provision of its services. These processors only manage the data according to our instructions and are bound by formal contracts.

You have several rights under data protection law to find out more about how your personal data is processed. The following rights have relevance for personal information published as part of the project. UCA needs to respond to these requests within 30 days.
Right of access – You have the right to receive a copy of your personal information published and information about how UCA uses it.
Right to Rectification – You have the right to ask UCA to correct your personal information where it is incorrect or incomplete.
Right to erasure (or “right of be forgotten”) – You have the right to ask that personal information be deleted in certain circumstances, such as where consent has been withdrawn, where it is no longer necessary to keep it or where it legally needs to be deleted.
Right to object – You have the right to object to UCA’s processing of your personal data in certain circumstances.
