Reading Lists

A reading list is a selection of books, journals and other resources selected by your course team to support your studies.

They provide you with essential resources which are required readings for your course and recommended readings which will enhance your studies by providing context and background information to enhance your learning. Reading lists provide an excellent starting point for your research when writing essays and other assessments. You may also be set seminar readings by your tutors separately to the recommended reading on your unit.

You will find your reading list in each unit area within myUCA or the reading lists site.

Reading lists will provide links to print and physical resources such as books and DVDs, to enable you to locate them on the library shelves or links directly to electronic resources such as webpages, electronic journals, books and images.

If you require further guidance on how to navigate readings lists consult this student guide.

The Library does aim to give you access to all the resources you will need to support your studies. However if we don’t currently have something, then you can request an item.
